Supporting each other

AASC was formed by two people, Jo and Lorna, whose lives have been forever affected by the news that their fathers had been diagnosed with a terminal illness.  Both fathers had a form of cancer, both embarked on a very painful journey, both fathers have now died. It was not only Jo’s father who  lived with the asbestos disease – mesothelioma, a very cruel form of cancer- but his whole family joined with him on his final  walk with life. There are too many  in Wales who are victims of asbestos disease. However, we believe passionately that the voice of victims can be strong if people join together to gain improved treatment, share experiences, share crucial resources, raise awareness and provide support to each other. We all have a part to play in the jigsaw  of the impact of asbestos on our lives. Our logo reflects our hope.
