We are so pleased with our Asbestos Awareness – Future Generations Project which is helping to raise awareness about asbestos  amongst children and young people, the risks involved, mistakes made in the past, associated illnesses, how to care and support for people with asbestos related diseases  and information about the work of our charity AASC !

The project  began in 2017 with funding received for the production of booklets and banners.  Funding is still needed  to enable a worker to visit schools , colleges, universities, youth groups and libraries and other communities in South and West Wales to exhibit Jo’s story.  We would like funding to also reach into other parts of Wales.

Jo’s story is about giving care to someone with mesothelioma. It is a true story about Jo whose father, was diagnosed with mesothelioma in Wales. Keith , Jo’s Dad inhaled the deadly asbestos fibres when he was working as a carpenter when he was younger and living in England.

We are very grateful for the kind donations which helped to kickstart our project , producing our Booklet,” Jo’s Story / Stori Jo” and our banners. We are looking for further funds to enable us to further develop the project by taking it across Wales. If you would like to donate, get in touch or make a donation online  LocalGiving
