Asbestos is an issue for women on two levels – they may be victims themselves and/or they may be the primary care givers of a victim, possibly their husband, father or brother.

Asbestos and more specifically mesothelioma do not only affect men.  Women have been diagnosed with mesothelioma mainly contracted through second hand exposure.
